My thoughts are wing'd with hopes,		私の心は希望に胸ふくらみ、
my hopes with love.		希望は愛と共に羽ばたく。
Mount, love,		愛は高く飛翔し、
unto the moon in clearest night,		澄みきった夜の空に輝く月の女神の所にまで達する。
And say as she doth		彼女が天界をめぐる時、
in the Heavens move,		こう言うのだ。
In earth so wanes		地上であなたを仰ぎ見るとき、あなたの姿の満ち欠けによって、
and waxeth my delight;		私の喜びも満ちたり欠けたりするのです、と。
And whisper this		そして、彼女の耳もとで、
but softly in her ears,		そっと ささやくのだ。
Hope oft doth hang the head		希望は幾たびも失望でうなだれ、
and Trust shed tears.		期待は多くの場合、涙を流す結果に終っているのです、と。

And you, my thoghts,		私の心よ
that some mistrust do carry,		疑念を抱いた 私の心よ
If for mistrust my mistress		もし、おまえが 疑念によって
